You know what I hate? How in like elementary school if you defend yourself or fought back when someone was picking on you you’d get in trouble too. And the teacher would say something like ‘'you should’ve reported it to the teacher first’ but literally in my experience the teacher usually wouldn’t do shit and plus it felt way less satisfying. And they’d be like ‘'it doesn’t matter who started it’ but like yea it fucking does? It teaches kids to be spineless and makes them afraid of standing up for themselves and I think it’s just a tactic of scaring kids into submission to authorities at the expense of their own dignity and this continues into the real world.
